What is this role, really?
Our marketing strategy is built on two principles — discovery and trust. Content drives both.
We're looking for a Junior Video Editor who wants to deeply learn the craft of long-form YouTube editing by working closely with senior editors, writers, and producers.
This role is about learning how great business content is made, not just cutting clips. You'll understand why edits work, how retention is built, and how storytelling meets business outcomes.
If you're curious, internet-native, and want to grow into a top-tier editor — this role gives you a steep learning curve with real responsibility.
What you'll be doing
Edit sections of episodes, rough cuts, assemblies, and assist in final edits under guidance.
Learn how to optimise for retention and average view duration, and apply feedback iteratively.
Work closely with writers, producers, and thumbnail designers to understand the intent and flow of each video.
Execute edits based on storyboards, scripts, and creative direction provided by senior team members.
Help maintain consistency in formats, pacing, visual style, and brand tone across videos.
Actively learn from references we admire like Vox, Johnny Harris, and Cleo Abram — especially how they balance education with storytelling.
Be plugged into internet trends, YouTube formats, and editing styles, and bring references to the team.
Where can this role evolve?
You'll start by assisting & learning within existing IPs and formats. Over time, you can grow into:
Owning full edits independently
Leading edits for specific shows or formats
Eventually helping launch new IPs and language channels (like Hindi)
What are the requisites?
1–3 years of video editing experience.
At least 1 year of YouTube video editing experience (long-form preferred).
Comfortable with Premiere Pro (After Effects is a plus).
Basic understanding of pacing, storytelling, and visual flow.
Strong willingness to learn, take feedback, and iterate fast.
Good taste — even if skills are still developing.
Has watched and studied high-quality YouTube content and wants to work in that ecosystem.
Prior experience with creators or media companies is a plus, but not required.
