We’re looking for an Automation Specialist who sees workflows like product designers see features. Someone who treats every recurring task as a bug and builds fast, elegant systems to fix them.
You won’t just sit in the background wiring tools together. You’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with Marketing, Product, Design, and Ops to ship backend automation that powers how GrowthX runs from CRM and funnel flows to onboarding logic and internal ops stacks.
What you’ll actually do
1. Map workflows like a PM.
Partner with teams to understand the real jobs-to-be-done. Then architect clean, modular flows to solve them.
2. Ship fast. Break loops.
Build Make (Integromat) & Zapier flows that connect our CRM, Sheets, Notion, email tools, Slack, databases, and custom APIs. You’ll be the bridge between tools.
3. Treat automations like products.
Version them. Monitor them. Build fallbacks. Set up Slack alerts. Automate QA and observability. You’re not building a hack—you’re building infra.
4. Create leverage at scale.
Turn messy, manual operations into scalable systems—whether it’s lifecycle triggers, user onboarding logic, or internal sales workflows.
5. Design for resilience.
Build smart error-handling, retries, logging, and data recovery logic. Your work should run silently, like good plumbing.
You’ll thrive if...
- You’ve built complex automations using Make, Zapier, Webhooks, CRMs, Google Sheets, Airtable, or internal APIs
- You think in systems, not tasks. You model logic clearly and build fast.
- You’ve worked cross-functionally with GTM teams or built internal tooling for ops, marketing, support, or product teams
- You can write and debug logic or small code blocks (JavaScript, Python, JSON formatting)
- You default to automation, not delegation
Bonus points for:
- Experience with lifecycle marketing, funnel analytics, or product-led growth flows
- Experience with Segment, PostHog, Mixpanel, or other event-based tracking
- Previously built automations that impacted revenue, user journeys, or onboarding
