The longer version.
Helping our members accelerate their careers & companies is core to our business. Sure, every year, we are on track to impact 5000+ lives (future leaders), but our ambitions are much higher.

We want to impact a million lives in the next 3 years through second-order effects. To scale this, the first step is to scale discovery of the brand & build trust with the ecosystem. Today, we do this through written and video content and that’s our primary channel to get leaders to discover & trust the GrowthX brand. But, we want to now go deeper into written IPs.

That's where you come in.

You’ll be part of the creative studio team focused on two things. First, scale existing written IPs (for example GrowthX newsletter) & second build new written IPs. This means you will need to do a few things elegantly.

Be curious.
About startups, business, growth and technology products. You need to be truly passionate about the India story and want to be at the center of it through your writing. You will be expected to research ‌technology businesses, their business models, tailwind-headwind events, consumer behavior patterns & more.

Ability to make sense of a real world fact(s).
Our writing isn’t news. We want to write pieces that help business leaders & founders think better about growing their companies. This means you need to write pieces that are helping leaders solve a problem at work, look at the right opportunities, and be able to run their companies better. We don’t want to be first, we want to be full of depth in our written pieces.

Elegant storytelling.
Look at the pieces we have written through our newsletter. We believe we could do it a hell lot better and more in-depth. You should be able to write article headlines and first para that sets the right payoff for each article. Plus, understand how to create the right hook and meat structure as you write a 1000-2000 word article.  Your choice of words and how you edit the pieces into snackable buckets that hooks a reader to read the full article and make them think. We want to dumb down our deeper pieces for everyone who works at a technology company. Oh, and we never take a jab at founders & businesses for sensationalisation - period.

Ability to connect the dots.
Every time** you write, you will need to look beyond what the larger narrative everyone is buying into. This is something we are trying to solve as a priority and we have done our share of mistakes & experiments.

Ability to package an IP.
You should be able to understand what this means. You will have support from visual designers & other editors in the team to soundboard on how a new written IP should look visually on the website/ email.

Go to market skillset.
Can you write and also solve discovery of the written content? Can you repurpose the article into a twitter thread/ LinkedIn post/ In-shorts article? This is going to be key as we build this huge content generation engine. If you don’t have experience in this, you will get the right support in your first 90 days in the role.

Coachable & easy to work with.
You crave for critical feedback & want to absorb it and iterate on your craft. At GrowthX, we strongly believe that building this category is a team play. You should be able to work/ align/ be resourceful to the team around you. Be the energy giver / not energy drainer.

You love building SOPs & executing them.
At GrowthX, everyone from interns to founders executes. We are hands on in the work we do and we thrive on it. You should have a process oriented mindset to thrive in the role.

Startup Fit.
You know what you're getting into, and the prospect of joining a small and growing team excites you. You want ownership over your work and can function independently. You want more responsibility, and accountability doesn't scare you. You want to drive impact in your particular area of expertise on  and off the product.

Previous startup experience (you have thrived in an unstructured, ambiguous environment. You thrive on speaking to the end audience. Previous roles in companies that have built a media team of writers is a plus.
